Festival theme:ScienceWorks hosts the 7th annual The Science of Wine
May 6th, 7th and 8th in support of ScienceWorks’ education programs.

The Science of Wine promises more “ wine! science! fun!” in 2010. The three day event includes the Winemakers’ Dinner and Live Auction on Thursday, May 6th, Wine Lectures and Reception on Friday, May 7th and Gala evening on Saturday, May 8th. Purchase your tickets today!


This year we are partnering with local businesses to offer special discounts to guests of The Science of Wine events during the weekend of and week following the fundraiser. Click here to see a list of participating locations and specials.

Activities:

• Winemakers’ Dinner & Live Auction:An elegant 5-course, sit-down winemakers’ dinner featuring select wines from area wineries paired with each course. A live wine-themed auction including heritage and historic wine lots will take place in between courses. Hors d’oeuvres paired with select wines will be served in the courtyard prior to dinner. Dessert will be paired with Organic Nation spirits. The winemakers of the featured wines will be present during the evening to introduce their wines with each course and discuss pairings.
• Wine Lectures:Two interactive evening lectures at ScienceWorks Museum followed by a deliciously paired wine and food reception featuring a 2008 Grenache Blanc and 2007 Centerline (a blend of syrah, zinfindel, temperanillo and granache) from Somerston Wine Co. – Highflyer 2008.

Keynote speaker:Velocity Cellars, Pebblestone Cellars, Red Lily Vineyards, RoxyAnn Winery, Wooldridge Creek Winery and Trium Wines
