Acacia Chardonnay Carneros

Acacia was one of the early wineries to firmly secure the recognition of Carneros as a prime area for growing carnerosChardonnay and Pinot Noir. Carneros is a shared junction between the southern tips of Napa and Sonoma, bordered by San Pablo Bay to the south. These grapes do well with the influence of fog and the
bay’s coolness.

“Where often our Chardonnay has a citrus note,” says co-founder Michael Richmond, “this year I detect a little bonus of something reminiscent of mangos and nectarines. It’s pretty ripe. I strive to instill something
that I call ‘gingerbread and coconuts’, as I am a sucker for sweet spice.”

Tartness along with luscious Chardonnay fruit flavors is the Acacia Carneros’ calling card. This crisp and complex beauty will work nicely with cream based soups, especially lobster. Match this wine as you would lemon to a favorite seafood dish.
