The book and the script

Well – Peter really light up this idea. He sat down in 2003 for his laptop – and for the nine months wrote what was required – a new book “A Good Year” . Not in semi-documentary style-wonderful story, as all his previous books, notes about his own life – and this artwork with a fictional heroes – garage winemakers.

The book is written a script that, among other things, too, not some nonsense. Script, a longtime Hollywood friend and colleague Scott, spent several months in Provence, spending time with benefits – has gone from complete ignorance of the world of wine to a fairly deep immersion in the subject. Right on the spot – among the Provencal vineyards, wine, local cuisine and excellent wines.

Preparation for filming

In 2005, Ridley Scott includes in its future plans for the summer now, collects budget, team, and invites the main role of their favorite actor, proven “Gladiator” – Russell Crowe , who kept filming, too, rented a house next to the estate of the director, which brings our Australian family – his wife and children, gave them a superb Provencal holidays.
