Analytical Cubism, 1909-1911

During the so-called analytic cubism Picasso image reaches a maximum and geometrism razroblennosti. If you remember the episode of the avant-garde portrait of the main villain from a children’s film “Prince Florizel,” this is a reference to this period of Picasso. Cubist art decade traditionally divided into three smaller periods. First – this is the beginning, the “invention” of Cubism as a completely new approach that rejects the traditional and the “legacy” forms of realism and naturalism.

In 1907, Picasso’s 26 and he is working with Georges Braque . As a result of interaction of two avant-garde-minded young artists seeking new forms of art, comes a new style. The logic is simple innovators. For many centuries prior to the development of art mankind has already proven that he can draw. Leonardo da Vinci, Rembrandt, Caravaggio. 100 feet below the water’s surface and near the abyss of the Marianas Trench, the deepest area in the world, Eric Titus meticulously pulls core samples from the ocean floor. In 5 minutes he must begin is ascent to the surface to avoid the dangers of decompression illness. The porous limestone that comprises this island, in the heart of the Micronesian South Pacific Ocean, is leaking possible toxins. The US Navy has once again called upon his expertise in an effort to determine the impact that a seaside landfill has had on the local marine life.

This is Eric’s day job.

His other job is vineyard manager/marketing director, for family-owned winery, Titus. He works hand-in-hand with his brother Philip who is chief winemaker for Chappellet by day and Titus winemaker by night. Together they are carving a niche as up and coming California wine stars.

Wine, winemaking and the Church: stained glass look of Reims Cathedral

The cathedral, in general, – a house of God. Notre-Dame – Our Lady of the house. But the Cathedral of Reims, Notre Dame de Reims- , there is no where else but in the capital of Champagne, wine – and a little holy family make room. In any case, the stained glass windows that adorn the three lancet windows on the right side of the cathedral. Bible stories to them abundantly diluted very earthly scenes, and we are with you especially interesting – about wine and winemaking.

The sublime feeling that believers, in theory, should have in the temple, now in some way relate to the fantastic and the “light-bearing” images of winemakers – ordinary mortals, sealed the series (along?) With God and the Mother of God.
