In 1821 the H. Ricketts & Co. Glassworks patented the glass bottle molding machine and the rest is history. The shapes developed in Bordeaux, Burgundy, Champagne, Alsace, Spain, and Portugal were standardized and continue to be the norm. Wine clubs assist enthusiasts to identify bottle content without reading the label by including bottle varieties in their wine of the month club selections.

Malaga expects more than 10,000 people on the night of wine

wine-eventThe event is scheduled for August 15, or Sunday. The event is recognized and already has a long history. La Noche de Vino de Competa (Malaga) this weekend held its thirty-fifth edition and is already consolidating and deepening as one of the most popular and oldest festivals in the region. Of course I expected to celebrate it in style, with the visit of more than 10,000 pilgrims, desirous of good wine and much celebration.

A bit of everything …

Very aromatic nose and open, medium intensity on floral notes. Word of the oily feeling, round, simple but tasty. This “Rolle” (VDP des Bouches du Rhone) of Winegrowers Garlaban completed its job of setting leg. € 3.20 ….. only. Given!

Summary of the 2009 vintage

The warm days of late August have not been ideal for the development of dry white wines. Some wines lacked freshness of fruit, acidity and taste too low gives centers a little soft. The differences in maturity of grapes can alleviate these sensations ripest wines suffer from lack of tone in the middle palate. For my part, a preference for the dry whites from the ocean vintages (less sun) to slow ripening grapes like 2007 and 2008. These wines are pure fruit, blood, and lots of freshness, while being well structured.
