Real Vins of champagne
In the winery, as the vine, Anselm Selosse is a perfectionist and is sparing no effort to better express the identity of its wines.
All parcels are vinified separately in Burgundy barrels. The proportion of new oak remains low in order not to mark the wines too. The departures are a natural fermentation, so no additional external challenge.Juices are not related and are periodically re suspended by stirring. After 8-12 months in barrels, wines continue their farming in tanks or lightning, always on their lees before bottle aging between 3 and 10 years.

For Anselm Selosse, is a vintage style. During assembly, the first approach is to put all the wines of the same style together to create a homogeneous class and to avoid trivializing. The assays are generally very low and can vary depending on the year.
The range includes today as well:
Original version (non-crude) and Brut Initial (rough), two superb wines assembly that form the basis of the range.
The Vintage, resulting in only two plots on Avize, a wine that shows the personality of one year, the 1998, tasted the field, forms a perfect and complete.
Essentially a pure vintage Avize, “a antimicrobial” which includes all years of the same soil as a solera started in 1986. A complex wine, rich in its origin.
The localities: Contrast, pure pinot noir from Ay, will be followed by other vintages for terroirs Ambonnay, Mareuil and Le Mesnil.
The Rose, powerful and persistent
Exquisite dry wine dosed between 22 and 25 g / L, Air and delicious.
Tasting a Champagne Jacques Selosse is always an intense time. Note that these are champagnes cuisine: they will be better highlighted in table as an aperitif and win often to be decanted. The amateur can sometimes be surprised by the low boom, at least in visual as it is still surprisingly present in the mouth. It may also be surprised by the small notes oxidative vintages that have benefited from extended aging. These keys are, however, oxidative not obstructive; the contrary, they allow a more intense expression of the characteristics of the vintage. The tasting is a real emotional journey full of aroma, numerous and complex. A champagne which is unlike any other.
