The pulse of a Dreamer

Michael is fulfilling his dream on his farm in El Molar grown, so respectful of the environment, a few acres of twisted vines and some other well combed trellis planted by himself … The fruits of these vineyards, wisely managed with the assistance of Coca Toni are two wines from which more than three years I have knowledge.


The first time was in the cellar, in February 2007, just joined Vinus & Brindis and took us all to visit the Cartoixa Domini. Listening intently to the man passionate and ironic. Born in Aragon (like me), protested the difficulty of living in a rural setting such as Priorat … He also cursed the low yields and expensive it was for him to get water your new plantings to avoid dying of thirst … Between sarcasm and damn we got to the cellar and there everything changed:

Galena Clos Galena 2003 and 2002 Dwelling Miguel, knowing that the fruit of their efforts were to make an impact on everyone. And what if they did, both wines were fruity but rude, greedy but austere, complex and mostly pleasant but special, had “music” something different that just feels in contact with certain wines.

This summer, in the month of August, I called my friends Isaac and Joan, stayed with Michael and Toni to see the winery and the more recent vintages. Miguel was quieter, perhaps adapted to the rural but his eyes were shining to explain the growth of vines which looked newly mature and ripening grapes of which are crowded in clusters perfect. The tasting of Galena Clos Galena 2006 and 2006 was very interesting and again we hear the melody that transmit sensations of wines made with illusion ….
