Lower Austria:Kamptal

As in all of Lower Austria in the Kamp Valley and the Green Veltliner king of white wines, for he ruled here for more than half of the vines in Austrian wines. Climatic influences shape the Pannonian with more hot, dry summers, the vegetation, tempered by the cool currents of the forest area. This combination of hot days and moderate night temperatures gives the grapes a lively acidity and subtle aromas.

Vitality coupled with strength in the wines – this is the Kamp. Not only the more powerful and mineral Rieslings, often rooted in the steep, terraced southern slopes and the peppery and spicy, while full-bodied Grüner Veltliner is a trademark of the Kamp valley, but also clear and sustainable sect. Several of the best sparkling wine in Austria are located in the Kamp Valley.

Since autumn 2008, the varieties Grüner Veltliner and Riesling under the source-controlled quality level Kamptal DAC are sold. Classical, with similar wine cabinet types, but also powerful and dry reserve wines carry this designation.
