Activities & Events:

Arts & Music: Los Viejos BlanquitosLos Viejos Blanquitos was formed in the fall of 2000 and is based in Athens, Ohio. This six piece band performs a style of music that combines the richness of jazz harmony, melody and improvisation with the infectious rhythms indigenous to Latin and Afro-Cuban music. The sound of the band is achieved by combining saxophone, flugelhorn and a seldom used instrument, the marimba, with a traditional Latin rhythm section comprised of piano, bass and percussion. Their music is as exciting as it is infectious and their reputation as spread all over the East.

Arts & Music: Two Plus OneTwo Plus One is a unique jazz trio that consists of a valve trombone, guitar and bass. Their music is mainstream jazz, reminiscent of Chet Baker’s Live at Ronnie Scott’s.

Arts & Music: The Duane Flesher TrioThe Duane Flesher Trio has become a part of the summer’s musical menu at The Blennerhassett Hotel. It features jazz drawn from standard jazz repertoire. Listeners will hear Duane Flesher on piano, bassist Will Creighton and percussionist Bill Keller.
