ALFIERA – Wine Tasting Notes

Barbera d’Asti Superiore DOC

Origin: Piedmont, Asti Province, San Martino Alfieri Castle.
Producer: Marquis Alfieri
Grape Variety Barbera d’Asti
Preparation: Grapes are crushed, de-stemmed and slowly fermented on skins. Refined in oak barrels for at least 12 months. Light settling and bottling in the summer season. Aged in bottles for at least one year before being released for sale.

Characteristics: Intense ruby red color with slightly garnet hues. Complex and well balanced bouquet, fruity with spicy influences. Well structured wine, rich in taste.
