In agriculture, the vineyards have a superlative importance: the members of one cooperative enterprise (La Purisima), operating almost 3,200 hectares of grapes viniphique, among which are distinguished from varieties such as Monastrell (90%), Syrah, Tempranillo, Airén , Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Blanc, Macabeo Merseguera.
It is said that given his heritage Yecla wine directly from the Phoenicians (2500 years BC), and there are archaeological remains testifying to the importance of this production was during the Roman occupation.
Vintage:
The harvest takes place in Yecla in late August, when the first white grape varieties are harvested until early November when the grapes are harvested later. This is an activity that shakes the region and meets a fiery movement cellars.
